Det unge science-talent modtager prisen for sit projekt, der unders\u00f8ger C-vitamins potentiale i behandling af kr\u00e6ft.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Gymnasieeleven Habiba Amer fra International School of Hellerup blev i tirsdags h\u00e6dret med LEO Fondets Rising Star-pris ved finalen i Unge Forskere-konkurrencen i Musikhuset Aarhus. Hun modtog prisen for sit projekt <em>(Vitamin) C is for Cancer<\/em>, der unders\u00f8ger, om h\u00f8je koncentrationer af ascorbinsyre \u2013 ogs\u00e5 kendt som C-vitamin \u2013 kan m\u00e5lrette kr\u00e6ftceller uden at skade sunde celler. M\u00e5let er at udvikle en mere effektiv og samtidig mindre skadelig behandling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;LEO Fondets Rising Star-pris gives til et nyt\u00e6nkende projekt med potentiale til at l\u00f8se en vigtig sundhedsudfordring \u2013 og det lever Habibas projekt i den grad op til. Det er ikke bare fagligt st\u00e6rkt, men ogs\u00e5 formidlet med en smittende begejstring og nysgerrighed, der gjorde stort indtryk p\u00e5 os,&#8221; siger Anne-Marie Engel, der er Chief Scientific Officer i LEO Fondet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LEO Fondets Rising Star-pris bliver uddelt i Life Science-kategorien i Unge Forskere for elever p\u00e5 ungdomsuddannelserne, og vinderen h\u00e6dres med en kontant pr\u00e6mie p\u00e5 DKK 5.000.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Om LEO Fondets Rising Star-pris<\/strong> LEO Fondets Rising Star-pris er en s\u00e6rpris under Unge Forskere \u2013 Danmarks st\u00f8rste naturvidenskabelige talentkonkurrence for b\u00f8rn og unge i grundskolen og p\u00e5 ungdomsuddannelserne.
