Fra ph.d. til professor. Fra Danmark til USA. LEO Fondets seneste runde bevillingsmodtagere repr\u00e6senterer ikke kun et bredt forskningsfokus og en lang r\u00e6kke hudsygdomme. De bidrager ogs\u00e5 med en bred vifte af potentielle l\u00f8sninger til behandling. Samtidig repr\u00e6senterer de forskere p\u00e5 forskellige karrieretrin fra seks forskellige lande. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De ni forskere, der netop har modtaget en bevilling fra LEO Fondet, kommer fra USA, Tyskland, Schweiz, Danmark, Irland og Storbritannien. De har hver is\u00e6r modtaget en bevilling p\u00e5 mellem DKK 2-4 millioner \u2013 i alt DKK 26 millioner (EUR 3,5 millioner). De ni projekter er blevet udvalgt blandt i alt 23 ans\u00f8gninger fra 11 forskellige lande, og udg\u00f8r derfor en succesrate p\u00e5 39%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flere end 3.000 hudsygdomme er kendte, men mange af de mekanismer, der driver sygdommene, er stadig videnskabelige mysterier. Der er behov for meget mere forskning for at sikre bedre diagnoser og behandlinger og i bedste fald en kur til de millioner af mennesker, der lever med en hudsygdom.
